Most emails get ignored. Many never arrive at all.

Your engagement and conversion rates are low.

You’re not landing in primary inboxes.

You’re stacked with marketing ops and tech…but messaging is a checkbox.

Planning and executing campaigns and lifecycle flow is a huge mental effort sink.

Too many team and stakeholder opinions, not enough expertise.

Optimizing your email marketing is causing costly delays.

Your emails sound like they were written by AI (because they were).

You’re short on time and resources…and so is your team.

You’re not confident in the email campaigns you’re sending.

These problems aren't random, they're related.

And there is a solution.

You can fix this and save 10+ hours a week. Let me show you how.

Most email strategies are missing 1 or more of the 3 fundamentals.

Companies pour resources into building lists and flows while ignoring the systems and messaging that determine whether anyone reads them in the first place.

After 10+ years studying how people and companies behave in the inbox, and 2+ years studying ISP updates and delivery protocols, I’ve seen recurring problems behind underperforming B2B email, and most have nothing to do with subject lines or send times.

Email marketing in 2026 and beyond requires three things working together: delivery, offers, and messaging.

Delivery means your list data is recent, accurate, and actively maintained, and your domain is authenticated so emails can actually reach primary inboxes. ISPs are basically algorithms now: they're making decisions about your sender reputation in real time.

The better your lists and your data, the better your emails perform.

Offers means the actions you want readers to take are valuable, relevant, and help them get from A to B. It’s not enough to push for demos or webinar registrations, you need to prove these things are worth their time.

Messaging means the emails you're sending fit how your ICP behaves in the inbox. They contain proof of the human(s) sending them. And they deliver real value: stories, insights, relevant actions. You’re not adding to inbox chaos with another prompt-generated promo or a link dump disguised as a newsletter.

Ignore any one of these and you're leaving massive gaps in your email program. Nail all three, and you’ll compound genuine connection and results.

This is the boring important stuff people skip or don’t understand. It's also what I obsess over.

A system for reliable impact from day one.

Protect Delivery

Audit your sender reputation, configure DNS records, and test inbox placement so your emails are primed to get read by the humans on your list, not filtered out as spam.

Build Engagement

Get messaging that proves value, builds trust, and earns action, not just opens. I help you develop your offers, prime your copy, and build templates optimized for both deliverability and conversion. No AI slop. No committee-written Frankenstein drafts.

Compound Results

Launch campaigns and automate workflows that keep your CRM clean, move leads through your funnel, and turn one-time buyers into long-term advocates. Over time, results compound: each campaign builds on the last.

Meet your partner & email anthropologist.

Hey, I'm Joe Cunningham, an email marketing and copywriting consultant with 10+ years of experience building email programs that actually perform.

I managed editing at Stacked Marketer for 4 years, refining hundreds of newsletters and campaigns for maximum engagement. I even wrote one email that generated $11,500 in sponsorship revenue in 24 hours.

I helped Ross Video's marketing team 2x–3x engagement on their event promotion campaigns.

And I’ve produced email campaigns and newsletters for Affiliate Summit that drove awareness, registrations, and revenue.

I've seen what works across B2B SaaS, events, media, and professional services…and I've seen what doesn't.

Usually it's the same handful of fixable problems.

That's why I codified the Inbox Impact method: a repeatable system for getting emails delivered, read, and acted on. It's built for marketing leaders who are short on time and done with getting underwhelming results.

The Inbox Impact Method

A 3-phase system for delivering your emails to primary inboxes, getting them read, and turning contacts into leads, customers, and advocates.

  • We audit your sender reputation and inbox placement, validate lists to separate safe sends from risky ones, organize your segments, and turn your HubSpot contact data into actionable ICP profiles so your emails get delivered and read by humans.

  • We build a suite of delivery-optimized email templates, turn proof, objections, and voice-of-customer data into assets contacts want, and develop POV, angles, and hooks with a 10-point optimization sweep so your emails sound like you, not a chatbot.

  • We build welcome flows that motivate new contacts to whitelist you, list hygiene automations that keep your CRM clean, and handle campaign builds in HubSpot so all you have to do is review and hit send.

We also give you strategic recommendations for compounding your results each quarter.

Clients who achieved results

“Joe enabled us to use email better as a channel and capture our audience in ways we haven't been able to before.”

—Nate Anderson, Digital Marketing Director @ Ross Video

“AI is a massive asset in some ways, but it’s been more of a band-aid fix that puts out average instead of high-performing content.

Joe brings the human touch. Our newsletter drives awareness, registrations, and revenue.”

—Morgan Swinford, Content Marketing Executive @ Affiliate Summit & Creator Economy Live

“Mastered our persona, helped with feedback and documentation for our writing team to keep that consistency and quality when he was away, so much so that I felt comfortable stepping out of the content side of the business.”

—Manu Cinca, Founder @ Stacked Marketer

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not necessarily, but Inbox Impact is optimized for HubSpot and Customer.io. If you're on a different platform, let's talk. We can assess whether the system can be adapted to your ESP, or if it makes sense to migrate.

  • Very little. That's the point. During the Place phase, I'll need 2-3 hours of your time for discovery and asset gathering. After that, you'll spend about 30 minutes reviewing and approving campaigns before they go out. Everything else—deliverability audits, template building, workflow automation, and campaign production—is handled by me.

  • You'll see improved deliverability and inbox placement within 4 weeks (Place phase). Engagement and click-through rates typically improve within 30-60 days as we launch optimized campaigns (Prime phase). Revenue impact depends on your sales cycle, but most clients see measurable pipeline growth within 90 days (Perform phase).

  • Yes. We'll validate your list, identify safe contacts to re-engage, and build a warm-up strategy so you can start sending without tanking your sender reputation.

To be clear, depending on how long it’s been since you’ve sent emails, you should expect anywhere between 30% and 70% of your list to be un-mailable. Depreciation is a real thing and there’s only so much you can do with a cold list.

  • If you follow the Inbox Impact process—fixing deliverability, refining your offers, and sending compelling messages—you should see improved engagement and results. That said, email marketing isn't a magic bullet. If your offer isn't strong or your audience isn't the right fit, no amount of great email copy will fix that. We'll identify those issues so you know exactly where you stand.

  • It’s like having a remote member of your team. I’m quick to respond via Slack, Basecamp, or wherever you work. I share regular updates. I ask questions. I solve problems and pitch ideas.

My clients regularly tell me they appreciate how reliable I am. If you ever want to talk to one of them before we work together, let me know.

Your next campaign could fall flat…or it could be the start of a messaging system that compounds.

Book a free 15-minute call. We’ll figure out where your email marketing really stands and what the right next step is, even if that's not working with me.
